The 30th Annual Waynesboro Hospital Health Fair will be held from 7:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School. The event is free and open to the public.
The health fair offers free health screenings and health information for people of all ages.
Free screenings include:
Bone density screenings
Simple lung function screenings for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Diabetic foot screenings
Balance screenings
Blood pressure screenings
Blood screenings (Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Trigycerides and blood sugar)
Vision screenings
Hearing Screenings
Tobacco Dependency screenings
Glaucoma screenings
Scoliosis screenings
The health fair also offers a fun scavenger hunt, inflatable adventure, and prizes for children.
Advanced Life Support Medic II has arranged through State Farm Insurance of Waynesboro for the “No Texting While Driving” Simulator to be present at the health fair.
Adults over the age of 18 who plan on having their blood tested should not eat for 12 hours prior to their screening.
