V-Day to Demand an End to Violence Against Women

On February 14th, 2013, One Billion women, and those who love them, will rise up on the planet, joining activists, celebrities, writers, thinkers, and artists, to strike, dance, shake the world and shift the energy to empower women and girls and break the cycle of violence. Celebrate V-Day at Hagerstown Community College with the HCC National Organization for Women and Spectrum Clubs. Speak Out! There will be an open mic for anyone who wants to share poetry, stories or music about violence against women. Videos from all over the world from One Billion Rising (www.onebillionrising.org). Music by Luscious Purr (www.reverbnation.com/lusciouspurr). The event is from 6-9PM in the Hilltop Grill in the Student Center. Everyone is welcome. FREE
