Shepherd University Graphic Design Capstone Exhibition

Start Date: Apr. 19, 2013
End Date: Apr. 19, 2013
Time: 5:00 PM

Date: April 19, 2013 Times: 5:00-9:00pm Location: War Memorial Building, 102 East German Street, Shepherdstown, WV After many all-night battles with the creative process, surviving hand-to-hand combat with X-acto knives, and slaying the dreaded Mac Lab printer; the Graphic Design Capstone students of Shepherd University have now been crowned the kings and queens of design. These creative conquerers will be holding their capstone exhibition for one-night-only on April 19, 2013 from 5:00 to 9:00pm. This exhibition, showcasing a mastery of various styles and skills, will be held at the War Memorial Building at 102 East German Street in Shepherdstown, WV. This year’s show includes eighteen graphic designers: Krystle Alder, Jeffery Baker, Kristian Dela Cruz, Alexander Feeser, Rebecca Gowdy, Kara Hardy, Michael Haynes, David Hickerson, Scott Hunt, Xiaofei Ji, Jeremy Johnson, Lacy Lafferty, Jessica Leake, Hannah Piper, Adam Ritchey, Sarah Smith, Michael Vowell, and Miranda Wilfong. Through a combination of diverse approaches, the designers come together to form a winning hand of concrete concept and creation. The exhibition will showcase the students’ thesis projects created this semester, work produced in various graphic design classes at Shepherd, as well as freelance projects the students have worked on outside of class. Some of the categories of work include: posters, packaging, publications, books, identity and branding, motion graphics, and web. This exhibition is part of the 2013 Exhibition Series in collaboration with the Department of Contemporary Art at Shepherd University.  For more information visit or contact Miranda Wilfong at
