Come enjoy the 1st Annual Rockin Independence Eve, an All-American event on the Old Town Winchester Walking Mall Wednesday, July 3. Rockin Independence Eve celebrates our nation’s independence and is a family oriented event that boasts fun for all ages and is free to the public.A stage will be set up with live musical performances from some of the area’s top musical talents including Father’s Honor and additional groups to be named. In addition to live music, families can enjoy a number of different kid’s activities and games in association with the Discovery Museum. The Great American Corn-hole Tournament will also hold a local competition. A beer garden will be available for folks of age who like to drink, listen to music and watch the Great American Corn-hole Tournament.
At the end of the evening attendees will be treated to a fireworks show. The fireworks will be launched from in front of Mount Hebron Cemetery and will able to be viewed from several different locations throughout Old Town Winchester. One of the best viewing areas will be located on North Kent Street near the Winchester Star.
Festivities begin at 5:00 pm and will conclude at 9:00 pm. The fireworks show will begin shortly after the conclusion of Rockin Independence Eve around 9:15 pm. The downtown fireworks show will replace the ones which have previously been held in the Jim Barnett Park.
