CHAMBERSBURG -- The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter will hold a golf tournament on Friday, June 14, at the Chambersburg Country Club. Proceeds will benefit the shelter’s Retire the Debt campaign.
Registration will begin at noon, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start for the four-person scramble. New this year will be a handicap scramble. There will be two winning teams, low net and low gross.
Two $3,000 Nemacolin Woodlands Resort lodging and golf packages have been donated as the top prize for both winning teams.
Golfer registration fee is $100 per person and includes golf, cart, range balls, a box lunch, beverages on course, light hors d’oeuvres at the awards ceremony following the game and prizes.
Mulligans and powerballs will be available for purchase. Participants can donate an item from the CVAS wish list on tournament day to receive a bonus mulligan.
Sponsorships are available on a number of levels. Sponsoring the tournament will not only assist the shelter in reducing the debt incurred with relocation, but will also serve as a cost-effective promotional tool for participating businesses.
Tournament flyers, which include registration and sponsorship information, as well as the wish list, can be found at www.cvas-pets.org.
