Start Date: Feb. 10, 2013
Time: 12:00 PM

This is a FREE workshop educating parents and students on how to obtain Federal Financial Aid for college that includes FREE assistance filling out the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA). There will be seminars (Financial Aid 101) on the basics of Federal Financial Aid at the top of each hour. The FAFSA is the only application used to apply for federal grants and loans to attend college, and most states and colleges also use the FAFSA in their financial aid review process. In order for a student to qualify for Maryland State grants they must submit their FAFSA by March 1, 2013. Students should bring a parent (though not required) and their parent's 2012 Tax Returns (if available) or W-2’s. Participants can bring their own computer or use one of our computers to fill out the form online. There will be trained volunteers available to help participants through the process. Space is limited so we recommend reserving your time. For questions or to reserve a time, contact: Jeanne Singer @ 301-797-2485 or email: FAFSAFrenzy@gmail.com.
