On Saturday, January 12, 2013 a very unique women’s event, titled “Eat Sleep Run Grow...Redefining Ourselves as Women,” will captivate the attention of Chambersburg and the surrounding areas. The event will take place in the Harry R. Brooks Complex for Science, Mathematics and Technology at Wilson College, Chambersburg, PA from 8 am until 2 pm followed by a Chi Walking/Running Workshop. There will be 3 keynote speakers, educational exhibits, exercise demonstrations, refreshments, and a multitude of local vendors. Lunch will be provided.
Eat Sleep Run Grow event is not intended just for runners. With the help of some very special ladies, you will be encouraged to build your confidence through many different activities, to name a few…running, yoga, zumba, biking, swimming and yes, even walking….one step at a time.
This event will help you to achieve the confidence that will allow you to tackle that everyday task called “life”. From making your house a home to raising your children to getting a promotion to losing a few pounds to learning a new skill to reaching out to make a new friend……without confidence, many of these simple tasks may feel daunting and larger than life. This event is about working together as women to balance, to share, to redefine and to celebrate our similar, yet in many ways unique lifestyles.
All proceeds will benefit Women In Need of Franklin and Fulton County to aid in the construction of the new shelter and advocacy center in memory of Shannon Lee Shockey.
