Over its 80-year history, graduates of PIA's School of Specialized Technology have been placed with airlines, manufacturers, electronics and mechanical repair facilities, the space program, and a host of other industries. Even in today's competitive economy, career placements for graduating students and alumni of PIA continue to be extensive.

PIA's Hagerstown branch campus is located adjacent to the Hagerstown Regional Airport in the Top Flight Airpark. This special aviation setting, near companies such as Agusta Helicopter and Sierra Nevada Corporation, provides students with a unique learning environment within their field of interest.

The facility includes specialized shop areas for aircraft propulsion systems, electricity, sheet metal, hydraulics, instruments & controls, composite materials, non-destructive testing, welding, and painting.
